Meeting Educational needs

Our homes are not registered as formal Education provision through DfE however, we do our utmost to meet the educational needs of the young people who live with us. We actively support each child to achieve their potential and we make every effort to celebrate all educational achievements and milestones.

There are a number of education provisions in the local area including mainstream schools, sixth forms, colleges, alternative education provisions including Pupil Referral Units and small independent providers that offer more bespoke vocational courses for children who may not thrive within the formal 'academic learning environment'.

We also ensure that educational opportunities go beyond the school day and believe in the 24 hour curriculum; young people will have formal / informal extra curricular educational experiences including trips out to places of interest, activities, access to computer, internet and library facilities.
